The first ever ‘Coupe de France de Netball’

The BSP was proud to host the inaugural ‘Coupe de France de Netball’ last Saturday, organised by Netball France. Beautiful sunny weather welcomed twelve adult teams and six under-18 teams for a full day of exciting and nail biting netball.

The BSP U18 team played brilliantly in their first competitive matches in 2 years. After winning all their matches they narrowly lost out in the final and finished as silver medal winners. Very well done also to our pupils who played fantastically for two of the other teams during the day! Medals were presented by Zara Everitt, London Pulse defender and England Roses Futures player (see presentation video below).

Well done to the players and also the pupil volunteers who helped Mr Bates with the charity book stall and coffee stand, raising vital funds for our UWS partner schools in Cambodia.

The two staff coaches of the BSP team, Mrs Mahé and Mrs Sawyer, also found time to play for their local team (LMML Netball) and after some extremely close matches finished Champions of the ‘Deuxième Division’!
