We were very privileged to welcome one of our alumni, Tatiana DeMaria last week.
Tatiana is a successful singer/songwriter who has known chart success with her group TAT in the UK and is highly regarded in the music and movie industry in the USA where she has written songs for major movies and corporate commercials.
Tatiana performed four of her own songs in the new Outdoor Performance Space which were enthusiastically received.
She then held a Q&A session with some of the senior musicians in the Sixth Form and with the GCSE Music classes. This latter group took the opportunity to ask about where Tatiana got her own inspiration to compose from, about her compositional process, as well as asking advice about their own current music projects.
I am sure that this visit will be long-remembered by those who were there – and what better way to kick of the new school year, in the brand new Performing space, with a really inspiring performance by a very special and talented member of the BSP alumni.
