Sports Day 2021

The annual Senior School Sports Day took place on Thursday, with pupils taking part in athletic finals in the morning and then house activity events in the afternoon. With the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and high jump events being contested during the first part of the day, there were many impressive performances and several new School records set.

It was an opportunity for the BSP athletes to showcase their talents, and the following pupils managed to win more than one event during the morning, with some taking three or four titles.

Following lunch, the pupils then split into their houses, Aramis, D’Artagnan and Porthos, to take part in a carousel of fun sports activities. These included rounders, tug of war, egg and spoon races, skipping races, sack races and the vortex throw. Whilst some of the events were awarded  points that will go towards the overall house trophy, some were simply for entertainment, with both staff and pupils joining in and having a lot of fun. It was a great way to end what has been a very difficult year, and thanks must go to all staff who helped and supported, and especially the pupils for being so enthusiastic and making the most of the day.
