Year 9 Design Week
What a week! Year 9 enthusiastically threw themselves into this year’s wonderful deckchair making project for Design Week. From Monday through to Thursday the DT workshop and textile room were buzzing with activity. It was clear to see how much fun the students were having whilst getting to grips with so many new and useful DT skills. News spread fast and many staff members dropped in all week to view their industry. End result – 19 beautifully designed solid oak deckchairs, with screen printed slings.
We are thrilled to report that all the deck chairs were sold, raising over €1000 for our UWS partner schools in Cambodia.
