Lisses Cricket Club and  the BSP

Thanks to a close link between the BSP and Lisses Cricket Club we are delighted that more and more students are playing cricket both locally and in Lisses (91).

Mrs King and Miss Britton are busy encouraging students  interested in playing more cricket to take advantage of the free club license currently being offered by Lisses Cricket Club. It is being funded by the club in a bid to encourage young people to become more active by playing cricket. U18 students no longer need a medical certificate to join a sports club in France, making it even easier to access sports clubs in general without barriers.

Already several students have signed up to play for Lisses alongside Mrs King and Miss Britton. These students were involved in a club match on Sunday 23rd May, a great opportunity to develop skills and gain match experience. Additionally, Anoushka from Year 9 was very welcome newcomer at this week’s training sessions – hopefully many more will join too.

Hopefully the link between the BSP and the Lisses club will further strengthen by offering many more opportunities to play matches against both local teams and when the time comes, internationally with the school.

Please note that given the distance to Lisses from Croissy, there are local training sessions and even a carpool to bring players to the pitch in Lisses for matches.

We look forward to more students getting involved.
