Year 2 Science
In Science this term, Year 2 are exploring plants.
Last week, the children read and learnt about the parts of a plant and drew some scientific diagrams with labels.
On Monday the children planted their own broad bean seeds. They wrote about the materials and the process of planting and each day over the next few weeks, they will keep observational records and drawings of their plants.
We planted two extra plants to conduct a small experiment. One has been placed in a dark cupboard but will continue to be watered and the other is sitting with the class plants but will not be watered.
The children thought very carefully when coming up with their predictions for what might happen to the growth of these two plants.
