Tudor Day in Year 5
Have you ever crafted Tudor artefacts? On Tudor Day Year 5 made soap, candles (wax tapers), pomanders (which warded off bad smells because Tudor people believed bad smells caused diseases) and a medicine bag.
I really enjoyed making the soap because you could choose your own smell for it. For the candles you had to dip a piece of string into hot wax and then drop it in cooling water. Lucas, 5H
