Nursery travel around the world
This week the Nursery children have been travelling around the world learning about what makes us all different and discovering the places we have been and the places our families originate from.
We have celebrated different cultures and traditions, discovering the world from the classroom, making passports, looking at patterns and colours in flags, travelling over maps and listening to stories from our different countries in different languages. We looked at the different food, music, dancing, and weather to be found around the world and some of our friends brought in special artefacts and some treats for us to see and taste and there was even some dressing up fun too.
We used the internet to explore the world virtually, travelling by our favourite means of transport to the four corners of planet earth: across deserts and seas, to cities and mountains.
We learned to say hello in the home languages of our friends which was fun. We may come from different families, cultures, countries, and backgrounds but our school brings us together and we love learning and having fun with each other.
