Year 8 Civil Rights Projects and Rosa Parks
You might be unaware that the Humanities building at School is called “Parks” after Rosa Parks, the Civil Rights activist. Year 8 Historians have been studying Empires, Slavery and Civil Rights for much of the lockdown period. 8H and 8X have completed Rosa Parks plaques, three of which will be hung in the hallway of the Parks building. Year 8 has also completed a range of highly creative Civil Rights projects focusing on key moments in the movement in the USA.
