The Atacama Crossing for our BSP/UWS schools – a BSP parent’s experience

Mrs Sheila Sanei, delivered an inspirational assembly to the Junior School students in KS2 on Thursday 7th November. She recently completed a high altitude desert race ‘The Ata-cama Crossing’ across  250km over 5 days. This accomplishment was even more impressive as she explained many of the obstacles including: freezing night temperatures and wading through ice-cold torrents, searching for scorpions in shoes, hiking up – then running down sand dunes, crossing salt lakes and scorched earth whilst avoiding land mines and then finally the Valley of Death!

This was truly an incredibly accomplishment in the true sense of the word. Mrs Sanei was raising funds for the school’s charity UWS Cambodia and surpassed her target of 3100 euros. Well done and a heart felt thank you to Mrs Sanei for her efforts and to the entire BSP community for its generosity and continued support towards this worthwhile cause.
