Year 11 Geography Trip

We should be intensely proud of the Year 11 Geographers’ field studies on Glacial Landscapes in Andorra last weekend. Geofieldwork Ltd messaged us this week to say, “thanks for bringing such wonderful students to Andorra and for your unstinting support.” I think this summarises the gratitude we all owe to the resilient members of our school community who remain positive and determined when outside of their comfort zones. Not only is there a majority of Grades 7, 8 and 9 in this week’s assessment on Glacial Landscapes, there is a very well-deserved sense of achievement from our GCSE Geographers even with 7 months still to go before their summer exams. Congratulations to all the Year 11 Geographers – I think this quote applies to you: “When we have these specific expectations of ourselves, we’re more likely to live up to them. Ultimately it is not what you get or even what you give. It is what you become.” – Mary Gates.
