World Poetry Day
Years 7 and 8 celebrated World Poetry Day with some stellar performances of poems they had chosen, learned, and dramatised themselves. The aim of World Poetry Day is to encourage people to read, write, and teach poetry and to recognise the great cultural contribution poetry makes to human society. As an added bonus: enjoyment.
