ASP U14 football tournament
Last Saturday marked the end of the first season for the under 14 football teams, with the traditional American School of Paris Tournament. The School entered a team in the girls category and an A and B team in the boys competition. As well as the BSP, there were teams from The American School, The International School of Paris, Marymount, Ecole Jeannine Manuel and The International School of Helsinki. Despite tough opposition we are pleased to report that both the boys’ A and B teams won their respective categories, with the girls narrowly finishing second. The boys’ A team won an exciting penalty shoot-out against Ecole Jeannine Manuel, and the boys’ B team beat The American School convincingly with a 3-0 win in their final. The girls reached the final against The International School of Paris and dominated the game, but couldn’t capitalise on their chances, and were eventually beaten on penalties following a full-time draw. Congratulations to all the players and I think we can safely say that at U14 level, the BSP rule the roost in Paris.
