DofE Bronze Expedition to Compiègne
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bronze participants have had a whirlwind of activity in just the first few weeks of school. Following much planning, they arrived in Compiègne to set off on their expedition. They had to cover 16km or more each day and spend their nights camping. Whilst there, all the teams picked up additional journeying skills including: navigational skills, basic first aid, outdoor cooking with a Trangia, setting up camps, and packing their kits. Each team successfully navigated their way through the forests of Compiègne, both with a supervisor on the first day, and on their own for the second day. Everyone worked extremely hard and we congratulate them on completing such a demanding journey.
