GCSE Results 2018
Our Year 11 students have every right to feel proud of all that they have achieved both in and out of the classroom. This year we were led to believe that GCSE results would reflect the greater rigour that followed exam reforms. I am pleased to say that our students have put their talent and dedication to good use. Over 20% of grades were at the new prestigious Grade 9 level (better than the old A*) while more than 52% scored in the top Grade 9 – Grade 7 (A*-A) range.
In the unreformed GCSEs we were delighted to see similarly excellent results with 26% of grades achieving the top A* grade and 70% A*-B.
Warm congratulations to all of our Year 11s and sincere thanks to their teachers.
Having performed so very well at GCSE we have high hopes for continued success at A level and we look forward to seeing them at the start of term to move on to the next stage of their educational journey.
