Year 12 Volunteering Day
On Tuesday all of our Year 12 students were involved in a volunteering day at either Emmaüs or ELLSA (Achères). The large group that went to went to Emmaüs on Bougival island were given a tour by the president, Alain Capmas, where they learned about the work Emmaüs do to upskill the homeless and the benefits of the circular economy! Students sorted through donations and packaged them up ready for sale and were commended for their persistence on a very hot day!
The other group of Year 12 students volunteered at ELLSA, which is a charity that supports those in need in Achères. They worked on a social garden project and learnt about its aims to help the local community and the local environment. They did a hard day’s work and accomplished a great deal. They were fantastically motivated and had a really enjoyable day.
