Paris-London-Paris in 50 Hours
Four BSP teachers who are celebrating their 50th birthday this year cycled to London and back to raise money for UWS: “There is no doubting that 550 km in 50 hours was a challenge but it is amazing what one can achieve with the encouragement of others. The good wishes, the congratulations, and the unbelievable donations created a bucket load of encouragement that more than sustained us in the early and late hours. If Facebook is to be believed then hundreds of people followed our quest to raise enough money to fund the education of young people in northern Cambodia. We have all been asked numerous times this week about our cycle, hopefully not just to distract us from teaching, which in itself indicates a massive amount of student interest. In truth, it was simply an incredible experience; highly enjoyable with a touch of pain! But with the pain comes the gain, the School has raised over 5,700 euros to date, so only 1,300 to go to reach our 7,000 target. Thank you for all the generous contributions so far.”
