The sun was shining, champagne flowed, fish and chips sizzled and conkers shattered at Saturday’s ‘Welcome Fish and Chip Supper.’
We were blessed with gorgeous weather and an enthusiastic crowd particularly for the inaugural BSP ‘Bonkers for Conkers’ Championship. Mr Hammond demonstrated the necessary technique and then the competition began in earnest. Parents gamely joined in the spirit of the occasion and fought competitively for the glittering BSP ‘Bonkers for Conkers’ trophy. Finally two winners were declared as they clearly were intent on continuing their battle long into the evening.
Congratulations to all players for the warm and friendly atmosphere that was evident throughout the whole event.
