Rachel joined the BSP in January 2016 as the Head of the English as an Additional Language and Intensive English department at the Senior School.
She studied French, German and Spanish at the University of Nottingham before gaining her PGCE in Secondary Languages teaching from the University of Manchester. Following a gap from teaching, Rachel relocated to Paris in 2011 to pursue a Masters Degree in Paris Studies (history and culture) at the University of London Institute in Paris.
At the end of her Masters year she decided to make Paris her permanent home and began teaching English to French children from the age of 12 months up to teenagers. During this time she became the Pedagogy Team Leader but it was her love of teaching secondary-age children and a desire to return to the British education system that led to her applying for her role at the BSP.
