Dr Julia Batters joined the BSP as Head of Modern Languages in Sept 1991. She was promoted to Deputy Head in 2000 and assumed her current position in April 2013. Prior to the BSP she worked as a French and Spanish teacher in Chippenham, and as a Languages Head of Department in Putney, London.
Following her degree in European Studies from the University of Bath she stayed at Bath to do a PGCE and later, to complete a PhD in ‘Pupil Perceptions in Foreign Language Learning’. Julia has two daughters who both attended the BSP.
