Congratulations to the Year 12 students who, despite the heatwave, attended the Year 12 Futures Workshop and University Fair with professionalism, curiosity and focus. The event was a great success, with many of the universities already asking to return next year.
This two and a half day event provided students with valuable time to further explore future pathways. It also helped them develop confidence in a safe environment by practising meeting and greeting, using positive body language, and marketing themselves with self awareness and confidence. A unique university fair model!
The objectives of the workshop included:
Producing and enriching CV/letter of motivation/Personal Statement
Booking an online MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses), Online Work Experience and Topic Webinar
Developing interview skills
Attending online mock interviews – sessions with Mark Smith SPW Careers
