On Friday last, the 19th June, following all their efforts in the GCSE exams, our Year 11 students got together at school to celebrate the end of the school year and the summer freedom that awaits them. Without exception, they all looked really smart in their lovely outfits and they had a great time together, signing each other’s yearbooks, and eating and drinking very well in what had been turned into a magical location in school.
Thanks to the collective and highly creative efforts of our staff and parental support – and despite the intense heat – they managed to produce a setting fit for a wedding, which was as impressive as the students’ outfits.
It was a really lovely end to a year of hard work. We wish all the Year 11 students the best of luck and look forward to welcoming most of them back in September.
