On Tuesday, our Year 9 students enjoyed an inspiring and engaging visit to the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris, where they spent the day exploring a range of fascinating scientific ideas.
The trip began with a spectacular film screening at La Géode. Pupils were transported to the Serengeti, where they learned about one of the most remarkable natural events on Earth: the annual migration of wildebeest (gnu). The film offered a vivid insight into ecosystems, survival and the delicate balance of nature.
After a relaxed picnic in the park, students returned to the museum, ready to investigate its many interactive exhibitions. Working through a specially designed workbook, they explored hands-on displays. From experimenting with sound waves to discovering the principles behind space missions, the exhibits encouraged curiosity, problem-solving and active participation.
Students showed great engagement with the activities and demonstrated their ability to think critically and collaborate effectively. They returned to school full of inspiration, having encountered a wide range of new ideas and experiences.
