Last Friday, we celebrated our much-anticipated ‘Around the World Day’ and it once again lived up to its reputation as the best day of the year! With 27 countries represented and parents showing incredible involvement and creativity, the day was made extra special for everyone.
The day began with a colourful parade on the green pitch, during which the children proudly showcased traditional costumes, outfits and flags representing countries from around the world. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity and our incredible BSP community and to experience so many different cultures.
The children then travelled around the school, visiting different countries and taking part in a wide range of activities. From discovering new cultures and sports to tasting delicious treats, there was something exciting at every stop with plenty of memorable souvenirs to take home and talk about!
To conclude the day’s festivities, Jackie, our Irish dance teacher, and her junior school dancers treated us to a spectacular Irish dance performance. They even taught the children and adults a few steps and then everyone joined in for a final dance to bring the fun-filled, enriching day to a close.
Thank you again to all the parents who made this unforgettable day possible!
