Movember au BSP
‘Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. THAT’S WHY WE’RE TAKING ACTION.’
These words come from the Movember campaign and have been taken up enthusiastically by some Year 12 and 13 boys this year. Movember is tackling men’s health on a global scale. They are addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
We raised €428 in one day, and Sixth Formers had raised a further €600 for Movember during the month. Together the BSP community has raised well over €1000 to be put towards helping to spread awareness about men’s health.
