Journée Viking en 4ème année
Year 4 travelled back to the year 878 AD on Viking Day, to the time of the Battle of Edington.
Dressed in authentic costumes, they participated in a variety of village life workshops where they learnt new skills such as weaving, candle making, clay modelling and writing runes.
They discovered how to become a Viking warrior as they prepared for battle and had great fun protecting the village with shields, spears, bows and arrows.
In the afternoon, they carried out an archaeological dig and then set up their own museum display to present what they had found.
