Club de diplomatie/MUN
The first steps were taken this week to start a collaboration between the BSP and Aviva Insurance Company. We are working together on a project to spread awareness and to enact the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
The world enjoys plenty of resources yet resources are not distributed fairly: when famines and natural disasters hit they hit the poorest hardest. This MUN/debating club aims to spread awareness of 4 goals in particular – No Poverty, Gender Equality, Peace and Justice, and Climate Change. Aviva will assist the school in spreading awareness of these goals and will help to connect us to other schools across the globe who have similar aims in mind. The staff have already discussed these issues and have chosen to promote 3 goals in particular; Quality Education, Responsible Consumption and Production, Health and Well-being. The students will add a fourth with a vote following a school debate.
