We had been told to expect a turbulent year as a consequence of exam reform and it is to the great credit of our students that they have achieved such fantastic results in both the reformed and legacy GCSEs.
In the reformed subjects English Literature, English Language and Maths, we were delighted to achieve 5.4% at the top grade 9 – the equivalent of A** and a pass rate of 41% at grades 9-7 (A**- A). Under the legacy system of A* – G we were delighted with a 93.4% A*- C.
Our students deserve to be congratulated on excelling not only in the exam hall but also in all areas of school life. We look forward to them enjoying an exciting career in our Sixth Form. Thanks are also due to both teachers and parents for their support of these high- flying students.
