The BSP Community Shop
The BSP Community shop was born out of a wish to set up a circular economy for our community. Unwanted clothes and items are donated to the school; our students sort, mend, clean and categorise them in readiness for our regular pop up shop on the school campus where our community can gather to buy and sell items. Many of our in-school volunteering activities are built around ensuring that our community shop continues to thrive. This is a whole school venture – our Junior School pupils contribute too by fund raising and volunteering at the shop.
Senior School pupils recycle books, clothes and toys to sell in their own community shop. As a result, pupils both benefit the local communities and develop initiative and organisational skills.
