Year 4 recently headed into the woods as part of their studies on shelters. Using branches and sticks they built a shelter which would fit the whole group.

This is what some of the pupils had to say about their trip:

“We had a fun time tying the knots and gathering sticks. The best part was looking at other people’s shelters: how it was built, how you could change and improve it, what was difficult…”

“It was fun because everybody worked in a team and listened to their ideas.”

“I have built 20 shelters but this is by far the best one I have ever created.”
