Academic Programme Overview

Key Stage 3: age 11 – 14

The Key Stage 3 curriculum guides your child’s learning in the first three years of Secondary School education.  At the British School of Paris we provide a wide range of subject experience to allow pupils to develop a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge.

Key Stage 4: age 14 – 16

Key Stage 4 offers your child a broad, diverse and stimulating curriculum that results in achieving the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) Award.

Foundation Year: age 16 – 17

For some students, moving straight to AS and A level courses may not be appropriate, we therefore offer a one year Foundation programme as an option to be considered. This programme could lead to further education vocational courses or be a preparation for the two year A-Level programme at the BSP.

A level: age 16 – 18

Students progressing into the Sixth Form follow a rigorous schedule and expectations of success are high. We offer a variety of subjects to A Level which lead to Higher Education possibilities worldwide

University Entrance

The Sixth Form team: Heads of Year’s 12 and 13, dedicated Tutors, Careers Master, and Study Coordinator are all there to encourage success, assist, support and guide our student’s university applications. We aim to provide the best environment for them to strive for academic excellence, whilst at the same time preparing them for the independence of university life and the world outside school.
