The Governing Body

The Governing Body is responsible for determining the aims and overall conduct of the School.  It sets and reviews the policies, plans and procedures that will ensure the best possible education, including the proper control of its finances.

Membership is by invitation.  Apart from always having a representative of the British Embassy in Paris and aiming to include at least one current parent, ideally one each from the Senior School and the Junior School, the Board wishes to attract governors whose skills and experience will enhance the management of the BSP, and who are able to make the commitment necessary for effective participation.

As and when a vacancy arises for a Parent Governor, the Chairman of the Governing Body will write to all parents, telling them about the nature and responsibilities of the role and inviting applications.
