Nursing Services

The British School of Paris has a small team of experienced registered nurses who are dedicated to the health and well being of its pupils. They can administer prescribed medication; and offer advice and support to children and their families on health related matters.

For children with specific health problems such as diabetes, asthma and epilepsy they will draw up and implement individual health care plans. They work closely with English speaking GPs and other health professionals and can advise on local health care facilities.

They are also actively involved in the PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) programme and regularly go into classes to discuss and promote current health education topics.

When registering a new pupil, completion of The School Medical Form is required, this information is updated annually. In addition, it is recommended that a Doctor's Medical Statement is completed once the family has registered with a health practitioner.

Parents and guardians are asked to notify the school nurses of any changes regarding the health of their child during the course of the year. They strongly recommend families register with a local GP and that children have an annual health check with their doctor to ensure that immunisations are kept up to date and that any health problems are addressed.
