All pupils have French lessons every day. The children are placed according to their experience of the language in one of the five groups across the year. The members of staff teaching this subject are all native speakers.

Early years and KS1 learn language through:

* songs

* rhymes

* games

* interactive activities

Children aged 7 to 11 years , in KS2, focus on learning the French language through:

* oral communication through role-plays, dialogues and songs

* reinforcement in reading and writing

* interactive activities

* exchanges with the local communities

* after school activities
