Set in tranquil and historic surroundings along the river Seine, the BSP is located in the heart of Impressionist country. The Château de Croissy, the Pont de Bougival, the Museum of the Grenouillère, Chapelle St. Leonard are some of the many sites made famous in paintings by Courbet, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Pissarro among others. More than 100 Impressionist works of art were painted in the neighbourhood.  The idyllic character of the area continues to influence school life.  Both the Junior and Senior Schools have historic buildings that provide a strong connection to the culture and history of Paris and its surroundings.
