Key Stage 2: age 7 - 11

At Key Stage 2 the same core, and other subjects are continued, building again on the knowledge and skills acquired  previously, but also taking account of individual needs to help to develop each child’s full potential, academically, physically, emotionally and socially.

The children who are working well above the overall level of their class or group will be given opportunities to add breadth and gain enrichment from their tasks, and will be encouraged to increase the depth of their learning, extending their output through complexity.

The curriculum is supported by a variety of day visits which exploit the many opportunities available in the Paris area for enriching the children’s learning. Towards the end of Year 6 pupils enjoy an activity week in the Ardeche in the south of France, where a variety of exciting outdoor pursuits are followed, in addition to a geographical study of the area.
